Our Mission
Develop, enhance and advance community-based youth organizations that provide a positive environment and a safe place for young people around the world.
World Youth Clubs (WYC) is the only international youth development organization establishing and assisting youth clubs around the world.
WYC helps local communities create safe and productive spaces for young people, especially those lacking the resources needed. We put our expertise and resources behind those organizations to help them thrive, and impact more young lives.
World Youth Clubs was founded in 2019 by Rick Goings and Susan Porcaro Goings, yet its story started years before. Through their global travels and work with Boys & Girls Clubs of America when Rick was Chairman and CEO of Tupperware Brands Corporation, they observed first-hand the needs of children and teens not only in the United States, but around the world.
In 2008, the Goings were instrumental in opening the first Boys & Girls Club in Mexico, known as Club de Niños y Niñas in Tijuana. They then set their sights on South Africa. Through a conversation with Casey Bridges, son of WYC board member Beau Bridges, Rick and Susan learned of his desire to work with youth there. That conversation led to that country’s first Club, established in Soweto.
Through the vision and support of the Rick and Susan Goings Foundation, World Youth Clubs was founded to meet the growing demand from other countries seeking youth development expertise. WYC has taken on this task to provide customized services and program that ensure young people feel supported and connected across the globe.
